I know, it's also interesting how this kid idolizes monsters, and we see by others reactions this isn't normal, and think about it, it's like idolizing a killer or a famous hurricane, this kid is severely disturbed, he has internalized anger that shows through the movie, like when the toymaker burns himself, does ichiro help, no, he asks whats wrong, giggles, and then says it sounds like a monster's call, this child is obsessed, perhaps he witnessed an attack when he was younger, and is experiencing some form of stockholm syndrome. There honestly so much social commentary in this film it's insane.
